Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto 2018

We were able to visit Kiyomizu-dera before. The reason why we visited it again was because of the fall evening illumination. The pictures we saw online were amazing that we just had to put it in 2018’s itinerary. Also, to be honest, we wanted to go here to here because we had a nice camera and wanted to take some photos and test our non existent skills.

Japan 2017: Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto

Kiyomizudera (清水寺, literally “Pure Water Temple”) is one of the most celebrated temples of Japan. It was founded in 780 on the site of the Otowa Waterfall in the wooded hills east of Kyoto and derives its name from the fall’s pure waters. –Japan Guide
