Arashiyama is one of my most favorite places to see and visit in Kyoto. I love the temples, bamboos, food stalls, people, and vibe of this place. For this trip, we decided to visit the Bamboo Forest and the Arashiyama Park. We planned on getting some food and sitting by on one of the park benches and people watch.
A little fast fact first – there are 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kyoto alone. You won’t be able to see everything that Kyoto has to offer in a day. It is essential that you pick the sites you want to see and carefully plan your route.
To start off our Kyoto tour, we decided to go to the furthest stop on our itinerary. We set off towards Arashiyama with three sites in mind – the Togetsu-kyo Bridge, Tenryuji Temple, and the Bamboo Grove.
