Tokyo National Museum, Tokyo, Japan 2020

On our last day in Tokyo, we had a couple of hours to kill before our flight. Since we were staying at Ueno area, husband and I decided to walk around Ueno Park and visit the Tokyo National Museum.

On the day that we visited, early February, there were already a few trees with cherry blossoms. We were still in Japan but I wanted to book another flight going back.

When we arrived at the museum, we didn’t know what to expect. Neither one of us knew anything about art. What’s extremely nice about the Tokyo National Museum is every section is well labeled and detailed. There were also free pamphlets that gives you more information about every exhibit.

Here are some of my favorite pieces of art from our visit.

All in all, it was a nice day in the Tokyo National Museum. It’s a nice place to kill some time and it’s always nice to learn about a culture of another country.
