I don’t know how many times I’ve said it but I am trying to look for a business I can do while having a regular 9-5. One idea I got was selling cookies. I know how simple it sounds but some of the best ideas are the simple ones, right? Before you judge me, I knew I had an 80% chance of failing this business but I still wanted to try. I don’t look at these ventures as failures, I look at them as opportunities where I can figure out what I am really good at and what I can focus on as a business.

Whew, I talked too much for an intro for cookies, lol. The recipe I followed was the one from Tasty!

I prepped my ingredients first.

I mixed in a bowl all the sugars, vanilla, and eggs.

After mixing it all together it looked like this!

I then added the flour and baking soda. I initially used a whisk to fold everything which wasn’t a good idea!

I used a spoon instead and enjoyed mixing it (which I shouldn’t have done)!

I added the chocolate chunks.

I mixed them all together again (which I think I shouldn’t have done again) and started to scoop it for baking (which again I shouldn’t have done since I should have chilled it first).

Anyway, here’s a closeup look of my batter.

I scooped it and placed it in my cookie pan.

Baked it for about 12 minutes at 180C.

I tried to plate it so it’ll look better.

But no matter how I tried it still looked wrong.

We ended up eating it with ice cream instead. 😐

That was trial #1 for cookies. I still have a lot of room for improvement and I do think I at least have to get the basics right before even thinking of selling this to the public. Truthfully, the cookies weren’t great. It wasn’t even good. It was edible though, lol. I’m still going to stick with this Tasty recipe and try again. At the end of this cookie business trial and error, I think the husband and I would gain so much weight. One batch lasts us for a week. I’m also shocked to see how much sugar is needed for this! Any cookie taster volunteers?
