February was short and sweet, wasn’t it? The month just flew by and before you know it, it’s the last weekend of the month. February 2018 is truly memorable and probably one of the best months of my life. Allow me to tell you all about it.

If we were having coffee, I’ll just get this out of the way and tell you that Mike and I got married. After months and months and months of preparation (and fights), we finally did it. We tied the knot just last week. It was a moment I will never forget. Standing there in front of the people who matter to us and signing that piece of paper is definitely the highlight of this month.

I wish my dad was there to celebrate with us. I wanted to cry while I was waiting in the car but I didn’t want to ruin my makeup. It was bittersweet. It was a new beginning for me but he wasn’t there. It feels empty but I need to find the courage within me to face this new chapter of my life. He might be gone but he will forever be in my heart.

I’m sorry the mood suddenly shifted. Please understand that my dad is such an important person in my life and him not being there is incredibly painful. These are things that we have to get used to even if it’ll be hard.

If we were having coffee, I’d want to say that I’m so happy wedding preps are finally over! If you ever read my “X Weeks Before Saying I-Do” series, you’d know how stressful this wedding planning has been for me. I am just so happy that it’s over and I can’t wait to start this new life! I’m also looking forward to being promoted to wifezilla! (READ 12 Weeks Before Saying “I Do” | 8 Weeks Before Saying “I Do” | A Week Before Saying “I Do”)

Now that all that wedding stuff has been said and discussed, If we were having coffee, let me tell you about The xx concert we attended this month. IT WAS AMAZING! ❤ The xx is our favorite band and they definitely did not disappoint. I love, with all my heart and soul, Romy, Oliver, and Jaime.

If you don’t know who they are, The xx is an English band. To describe their music is hard. It’s indie, electric, pop, bass-filled, weird yet exciting. Their music is an experience, it definitely takes you places (especially when watched live). I can’t, even if I wanted to, explain to you how amazing of a band they are. Here are a few pics and video clips from that night.

If we were having coffee, I think I said a little too much already when I shared with you my ten reasons to be happy the other week. I don’t really have a lot of things to share anymore. (READ Ten Reasons to be Happy | Vol. 3)

I’m basically at a happy and content place right now. I’m savoring this moment as much as I can. I can finally breathe again and I can’t wait for March to see what else life has in store for me (or us ’cause now Mike’s in it for the long run). I guess that’s me saying bye for now! How was your February like? Tell me more in the comments section below.

Faves for February 2018.

There wasn’t really any time to watch anything this month but I love it when Sichenmakeupholic uploads a video. She is my absolute favorite.

To keep it short and simple: I'm twenty-eight years old. Still plenty young, but not as young as I used to be.
