It’s my birthday week! I thought I’d celebrate by answering more personal questions. I’ve handpicked 28 questions (here is the link for the original set) for me to answer today. I hope you’ll enjoy reading my answers for it.
How do you feel about birthdays? Not much. I think it’s just another day. Life should be celebrated every day and not just on birthdays.
Do you believe in fate? Not really. I believe that our lives are consequences of our daily actions and decisions and not on a predestined thing.
What do you think when a band/artist “sells out”? I think this happens often and we shouldn’t be surprised if it does. Some people have skewed ways of thinking. What matters most is knowing who you are and being picky with those who you let impact your life.
What do you think of doctor-assisted suicide? It would greatly depend on the situation. If let’s say the person in question will live but will have a hard time living, it’s a thought to consider. It would definitely be situation based.
Have you ever seen a person, an animal, or something else die? How did you feel about it? I saw my dad die. My brother, Tita, and I stepped out to buy dinner while we were waiting for his last breath. The moment we got back (while holding food) I heard his weak breath and last gasp of air. It sucks big time. He closed his eyes to sleep in the morning but it wasn’t until the evening when he finally let go.
If life is so short, why do we do so many things we don’t like and like so many things we don’t do? It’s probably because of our lack of contentment in life. Sometimes we focus on the wrong things because we are blinded by what society/other people think we want. Also because I think some people really don’t know what they want/who they are in life and the best way to know or figure that out is by trying tons of things.
Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? No, because I am a strong independent girl but I’d like to think that I can trust my boyfriend for this. I really have to learn to trust other people.
What do you think about the death penalty? An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. If it were in the Philippine setting, I hope that the justice system would improve before implementing the death penalty.
What is your ideal day? An ideal day for me is staying home. I would read books, blog, cook, and just enjoy a quiet day. I love staying at home and doing nothing. ❤
Which is worse, failing or never trying? I honestly believe it’s never trying. It’s always better to try and fail because you can always stand up again rather than never trying at all.
Do you daydream a lot? What do you daydream about? Yes! I mostly day dream about my oppas! ❤ LOL. I mostly daydream before sleeping. It helps me relax and fall asleep.
How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? My mom always says I’m tactless. I guess that answers this question. LOL. I’d rather be honest than a fake lying back stabbing person BUT OF COURSE, I always put things into perspective and say things in a respectful manner.
Would you place education as a top priority? Yes. I highly value education because it teaches you skills you need and helps you develop habits needed in life. Not everyone might be top students but I’m sure skills and habits were formed and developed in school.
How do you feel about your gender? Does the normal male/female suit you? How much do you act like your supposed sex/gender? I don’t care for labels too much. Just as long as you are happy with who you are, I’m good. I don’t like to judge. I do, however, have tons of questions for our LGBTQ community like – WHY? It’s a mystery to me why someone would have different feelings regarding their inborn sexuality. It’s not in a judgemental kind of way. I am legitimately curious.
Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Yes and no. What I do believe in is commitment. And that’s what I am to my fiance – a committed future wife. We might not always meet eye to eye but I know that I am committed to making it work with him no matter what.
What do you believe makes a successful life? Before my dad died, my answer would have been based on material things. Now that I have seen a loved one die, my answer changed. What makes a successful life for me is a life where you give more priority over experiences and people over material things. A life where you are kind, respectful, and positive.
Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? With my tactless attitude, I’d say I wouldn’t avoid conflict. However, I have learned to pick my battles and live a quiet life.
Who are your closest friends and why are you friends with them? This is a tough one but my closest friend is my brother. The fact that he has a girlfriend and he prioritizes her over me annoys me and makes me want to kill her.
Would you like to be famous? In what way? Yes. I’d like to be famous to influence the youth to be better. A dream of mine is to have a bigger platform to remind the youth that life is more than just what’s on the outside. We’re suffering from a consumeristic mindset and I’d like to change that.
Where do you stand on religion and why? I’m very neutral about this. I believe that you can believe in whatever you want to believe. Just don’t get twisted and start shooting people because a god said so.
How do you deal with stress? I binge watch K-dramas! I also surround myself with books and tons of me time!
How do you feel about being alone while eating lunch at school? What about a whole day alone? This doesn’t bother me. I could eat alone and it wouldn’t suck!
If you could influence people like a celebrity does, how would you use it for the benefit of the planet? If you’ve read my answer above, it’s very similar. I’d definitely remind and encourage everyone to not have a consumeristic mindset. We’re destroying our planet for things we don’t need.
What do you like to do in your spare time/on weekends? K-dramas, blogging, and resting. I’m such a home girl. Just leave me alone at home and I’d be good!
How and when are abortions okay? I have asked this question before and I don’t even know when it’ll be okay. I guess if the child would only suffer (because of sickness) if they lived? But a life is a life and you’re still killing someone… I’m torn!
What do you appreciate most about your life? Just the fact that I can live and do things. Not a lot of people are able to do what I do because of various reasons and I’m thankful that I am blessed.
Would you still be a relationship with someone who cheated on you? No. I could never understand why others could.
If you could offer a newborn child only one piece of advice, what would it be? Stay positive, child. A beautiful and healthy mind can overcome anything. It all depends on how you look at things! You’ll be fine. 🙂
These set of questions are a great way to get to know someone. I’d love to read your answers to it as well. I know 100+ is a lot but you can definitely just pick a few and share them. Thanks for getting up to this point. I’m going to go and do fun stuff now, bye!
