K-Review: Man X Man

I’ll be honest and tell you that the only reason why I watched this show is for Park Hae Jin. This oppa made me fall in love with him in Cheese in the Trap and since then I have always been on the lookout for his movies/series.

Let’s take a moment of silence and appreciate his beauty.

The plot revolves around a secret agent who had to go undercover as a bodyguard for a top K-star. I really like this series because of how fresh the concept was for me. I also like the contrast of the two male leads. On one hand, you have a serious secret agent, Park Hae Jin, and on the other, you have a hilarious character in Park Sung Woong. I love their combination and their interactions are what I looked forward to.

What really disappointed me about this series is the romantic plot. I feel like it somehow clouded everything and it didn’t add anything significant to the series. I ended up fast forwarding the scenes that focused on Park Hae Jin and Kim Min Jung (no offense meant to her). The plot itself was a lot to handle (there’s a lot of backstabbing involved!) and adding the romance wasn’t my cup of tea.

If you want to see Park Hae Jin in an action series, I highly recommend this but just be wary of the romantic plot. It really has mixed reactions!

To keep it short and simple: I'm twenty-eight years old. Still plenty young, but not as young as I used to be.
