Before we get on with this review, I have to let you know that I’m a sucker for storylines that include girls pretending to be boys AND cheesy rom-coms. I find it cute especially if the girl looks like a boy! For this series, the lead girl would definitely pass as a pretty boy which makes this series an instant hit for me.
Hong Ra-On disguises herself as a man and counsels men on dating. Due to a love letter she wrote for a client, she meets Crown Prince Hyomyeong (Park Bo-Gum). Hong Ra-On is unaware that he is the Crown Prince and Hyomyeong is unaware that Hong Ra-On is a woman. The Crown Prince becomes interested in Hong Ra-On. His eunuchs become aware of this and attempt to get Hong Ra-On to become one of them. –AsianWiki
Here are other some points that I loved about Love in the Moonlight/Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.
- Amazing fight scenes from both the leading and supporting characters. I love the fight scene in episode six. It was well choreographed and was action packed!
- I love the cute side storylines throughout the series. It was cute watching the love story that was developed between the princess and the scholar.
- Park Bo Gum. This guy! He is probably the only reason why I continued to watch this series! Lol. To be completely and brutally honest, this series was predictable. Not a fan but Park Bo Gum made me watch it until the end!
Overall this series wasn’t that good. It was predictable and there were some storylines that I wished were developed further. If it wasn’t for Park Bo Gum, I probably would’ve stopped watching it.
Would I recommend this series? Yes, yes I would…for Park Bo Gum. This has got to be one of the worst reviews I have posted but this series was definitely a miss for me. Here’s an adorable video of Park Bo Gum to make up for it.
