Here’s a let’s have coffee post that’s well overdue. Last time we had coffee, I think I just got moved to day shift.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that a lot of things have happened since. I am currently working in Makati City. A place I am not familiar with at all which means I get to experiment around the city – food, transportation, people and vibe. The place itself is so much different than Eastwood, where I’ve worked for four years, and the whole Quezon City area! All the people in Makati are so fancy and I feel like an out of place little bird trying to find her wings again. My first day there I got confused with the underpass and went out the wrong side, lol. It’s such a different city. I like it. Change is good.
Working in Makati also means that I get to walk. A LOT. I’ve been hitting my 10,000 steps a day goal easily. I like it but man, my feet are killing me. Which reminds me I need to buy better shoes. I love my Chuck Taylor’s but God does my feet hurt after a long day of walking and standing in lines. I also love my Roshes butΒ they’re getting worn out! I have to find reasonably priced shoes.
If we were having coffee, I’d tell you about my training. It’s craaaazy. It’s fast paced and we’re supposed to self-study. The last time I studied was about four years ago. And yet there I was, studying my butt off just so I can stand out from the group and excel in my career. I don’t have any complaints, I’m actually loving it. I love that I’m using my brain again and I’m getting challenged. This was what was missing from my old team. The challenge. The joy I get when I know I’m doing well.Β I have never been happier in the past four years I have been working. I’m glad, extremely glad.
If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you that this post is taking so long to write. I’m racking my brains for some good information to share with you but I’m stuck with work and personal drama I’d rather not share. So I guess I’m going to end it here and say bye for now. π
Happy you are getting a challenge and meeting it head on and excelling! Keep on keepin’ on π

I think it is great that you are boldly exploring a new city! It can be scary at times, but definitely an adventure! I am excited for you and all these big changes in your life and you are approaching everything with such a positive and optimistic attitude. Very inspiring! Take care and know that you are on the right track! Xoxoxo.

True. Chuck Taylor is a GREAT shoes but “we are having a coffee” I would tell you to get Sketchers GoWalk 3. Man! Those shoes built for that “10,000” walk of yours.

Nice one!
If I were on the other side of the coffee table, I’d tell you things like:
1) I’m a technical analyst by day and a tarot reader by night
2) I’ve been living here in Makati for the past 12 years and this place still never ceases to amaze me; my favorite places here are Greebelt, the parks, and Jupiter
3) Eastwood reminds me of a significant part of my very recent past
4) I love the color pink
I suppose I can show you around. π

If we were having coffee, I’d ask you how you got into tarot readings! I don’t know a lot of people who have it as a hobby or believe (?) it. βΊοΈ
