Let’s have coffee

Hmmm I don’t know where to begin with this coffee share. Let’s just sit by the window first and people watch as thoughts about the past days come back to me in bits and pieces.

* * * * *

If we were having coffee, I’d share with you that I’ve been trying to find a photo editing software that’s like VSCO for PCs. I want to try editing my photos to give it certain effects/presets. I don’t think Photoshop is a good choice considering I’m not a pro. Do you have any ideas? Oh, I heard Adobe Lightroom is good but I only have a 32bit laptop so it’s not going to work. 😦

If we were having coffee, I’d rave with you excitedly this new series that I’ve just finished entitled Cheese in the Trap! It’s another Korean series (my guilty pleasures) and I definitely related with it. There weren’t a lot of positive reviews about it but I really liked it a lot. Here’s a quick snippet: There’s this girl and boy. At first they don’t like each other but then they date and fall head over heels in love. The boy has this mysteriously creepy personality which sparks most of the issues in the series. Basically it’s just about two people who fell in love and are trying to make it work. It’s simple and honestly so relatable.

And because, I’m so in love with Koreans, I jumped to another one. The next one I watched was King of High School. I just watched this for one reason, Lee Soo Hyuk. This man is so fine, I can’t even describe him. He’s the kind of guy that’ll make you fall in love without even speaking. Drop dead gorgeous, I tell you!

What did I tell you?

If we were having coffee, I’d unfortunately tell you this series was awful. I didn’t like it one bit. I watched the first five episodes, watched ten minutes of episode 8, skipped to episode 15 and then just stopped completely. I just didn’t like how the leading lady had such terrible posture. She was always slouching!!! It’s a personal pet peeve so I can’t stand watching her slouch her way to gorgeous men. Plus the story was a bit to slow for me, imagine watching only a few episodes but still understanding what happened.

If we were having coffee, I’d also tell you about this stupid grand plan I have of moving my site and trying self-hosting. I just like the freedom it can potentially give me. I’m worried however of the whole shift and just how much it’ll cost me. We’ll see how it goes in the coming months.

Lastly, if we were having coffee, I’d leave you with this beautiful and breathtaking picture of the beach in Panglao, Bohol. I just came home from one of the most relaxing trips I’ve had and I’m excited to tell you more about it. 🙂

  1. Love the coffee Cat. Thanks and good morning and I hope you don’t mind me having coffee with you. I love watching people as well. 😀

Have you tried Pixlr-o-matic or Photoscape? Both are free and works on 32 bit, and they are also very user-friendly.

It sounds like a lovely series. Creepy personality sounds good. 😆

Lee is such a cutie and a pity that the series was awful. I’ve found series like that as well. I’d also watch for a while and then just stop after a few episodes. Quantico was like that for me. It’s about an FBI agent who gets accused of being a bomber and how she tries to prove her innocence, but they jump too much from the past into the present and makes it difficult to catch up.

Watched a great movie though last night. ‘Mr. Right.’ It was hilarious. A girl falls in love with a hitman and from the beginning he tells her the truth. That he kills people and she thinks he’s joking and then she finds out he wasn’t. Then the fun really starts. LOL!

Oh wow! What a gorgeous view and I can’t wait to hear about the trip! Looks like you had lots of fun Kat. 😀

Well, have a lovely day, thanks for the coffee and for the lovely talk. ♥

You don’t like Quantico? I love it. Or maybe just Priyanka 😛 She’s so beautiful. I’ll have to find a copy of Mr. Right, those kinds of movies are right up my alley!!

      1. That’s awesome Kat. There an online version as well as the downloadable one. Which one did you get? You’re very welcome as well. It’s an amazing little proggie. 😀

Nah. They confuse me when they jump around from the past to the present and I want action. Oh, she sure is and a great actor as well. It was still interesting while she was fleeing from the FBI.

Oh, you’d love it. Full of action and really hilarious. 😀

You are very welcome and thank you as well. I enjoyed it very much.

Of course. See you then. 😀 ♥ Hugs ♥

      2. Right now (as in right now, lol) I’m trying the online version. It’s kinda fun but I can’t imagine doing this for every photo I want to post on my blog. I’m going to have to look through some of my favorite action series and suggest to you some! Again, many thanks and see you next week? 😀

      3. Great! If you want the proggie, just go to the download section: http://pixlr.com/o-matic/air/ and download it. You will get frequent updates for Adobe Air and it installs it automatically.

Otherwise you can have a look at my Links and Resources page. Maybe there’s something you’d like. Most of it is online editors:

That’s awesome! Let’s see if there’s anything I haven’t watched yet. I think if I have to send you a list of everything I watch, it’s going to take quite a while. hahahah!

You are very, very welcome and see ya! 😀 ♥

  2. Hi Kat! I am a self-hosted Worpress user. If you have questions about the self-hosted WordPress site, feel free to contact me. 🙂 My Twitter and Facebook links are on my blog.

      1. I hate answers that start with “It depends…” but it depends on what you want to achieve. A self-hosted WordPress account gives you ownership and accountability. It is fully customizable and you will have lots of fun with it especially if you know how to do codes or if you can afford a developer to help you with the technical side of things. My only beef with the self-hosted WordPress is that it is not fully integrated into the WordPress.com community. Your tags won’t be included in the reader, you wouldn’t have the like feature on blog posts and comments just to name a few. Personally though I think it is worth it.

      2. That’s also my concern! I love the community but I really want to learn the coding stuff. I’ll have to think about it a little more but thank you so much for answering!! 🙂

  3. Hey – I use snapseed on my phone and it’s awesome. On self-hosting, I self-hosted last year and so far so good. Yes, even I was very scared cos we put in so much effort on our blogs that we want to see things perfect. But trust me, the sooner the better 🙂

    1. Ohh, do you know a software I can use that has same effect? I was thinking the same thing…Just take the jump and move to self hosting… Maybe in a few more months. 😛 I’ll have to save for it first. Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts Parul!! Hugs xx

  4. What a lovely photo from Bohol! If you’re looking for a photo editing tool, you could try Pixlr. It’s based online so it can be used with either Mac or PC. They also have a phone app for it. They have a “quick edit” version and also an extensive version (more like Photoshop).

  5. That picture is gorgeous. I, like you, Love VSCO cam and wish there was an option for PC’s. I’m hoping that in the coming months, fingers crossed, VSCO will come out with a set for PC’s!

  7. I am really impressed by what I find on your site. Keep shining Kat. I also noticed that you expressed an interest in joining the Bloggers’s Solidarity Support Forum which I host. Are you still interested? We’ll be happy to have you. But if your hands are full no problem.
