Reviews: Tokyo Bubble Tea // Eastwood Eats

Tokyo Bubble Tea is one of those places I try to avoid because it is expensive. However, Mike and I gave in since I was craving for some Japanese food. Blame it on PMS.

Ambience: The whole place is very light and inviting. It has a bright interior filled surrounded by glass. One thing I loved most about it is the Japanese style seating they have outside. Unfortunately, Mike and I didn’t try it since it was for smokers.

Food/Drinks: This restaurant offers a wide variety of drinks. I’m not a fan of drinks lately so Mike was the guinea pig for this one and he loved his Taro Milk Tea (P125). I know its such a safe choice but honestly, how could you choose when you have to pick from this.

As for the food, we ordered these.

Don’t panic. We didn’t order this all in one seating. We ate there twice but I’m just posting it all on one review. Oh and I just want to get it out there that these amazing photos were taken from my new phone and I love the quality of it despite it being compressed. 🙂

Okay, back to the review! The Okonomiyaki and the Nippon Ebi Fry Roll are my favorites! I love how tasty and full of flavor both dishes were. My next favorite was the Niniku Salmon with Garlic Cream Sauce. To be honest, it was a little creamy for my taste but the garlic added in the right punch to balance it all out. My least favorites were the Aloha Sesame Sauce Glazed Salmon, Apple Porkchop Rice and Fish Katsudon. It just didn’t satisfy me and taste wise there was just something missing.

Value/Overall Rating: To be completely and totally honest, I would not recommend you to eat here. Not only is it pricey, the food itself is not that great. Also, the portions are a little too small considering you are paying for more than two hundred pesos per plate. If you really want to try it though, I suggest you get their side treats or maki. I wouldn’t recommend eating their rice meals. You’re better off somewhere else. 🙂

I’m still giving this place three stars because I loved their Okonomiyaki and Nippon Ebi Fry Roll. Oh and Mike said their drinks were absolutely refreshing.

3 stars

If you think I missed out on their bestsellers or if you disagree with my review, I’d love to hear from you. Drop a comment! I’m always ready to change my mind. 🙂

  1. LOL! It does look good but it could’ve been waaay better considering its price! Me too, I used to drink one a day but decided I needed to cut back on it. Merry Christmas to you and your family Ann! 🙂
