Let’s have some coffee

Hey everyone! Here comes my favorite time of the week, my coffee date with you! I’ve had a really splendid week filled with dreams coming true and realizations unfolding. I’m so excited to share some of it with you guys, I hope you are as excited as I am.

If we were together having coffee, I’d tell you that my I just bought a new phone! I’m officially retiring my three year old (and slowly dying) iPhone 4s. I actually didn’t want to change phones yet since the basic functions like texting and calling are still working for my 4s but some hardware and software issues came into account. Which eventually made me decide to just retire my trusty old phone. I’m excited to play around with my new baby. ♥

If we were having coffee, I’d want to share with you my dad’s personal big news. However, being it’s not mine to share with the whole wild world, I’m not going to. LOL. I feel it’s too personal for everyone to read. I will tell you that it has taught me one thing which is to always stay happy and positive. Life will always find a way to ruin your plans. The best thing you can do is to stay positive and always find that silver lining. It’s the only thing you can do as you go through life. Stay happy. Stay positive. Trust in yourself.

Remember that time I told you I got chosen as one of the few resources in our company who has a chance to work abroad? Well, if we were having coffee, I’d mention that I just got shortlisted in one of the open roles. No results as of writing but if I pass screening…my whole life will turn upside down. I’m very scared. I’m worried leaving the comforts of my home but I am also excited. I can’t stop imagining what my future would look like.

Which brings me to a dilemma if I get to go abroad. I’ll be leaving Mike here since we’re not married. I can’t picture him not being by my side. But I can’t ask him to marry me (the only way he can go there and stay with me) just so we can be together. He can’t work if he goes there and his family relies on him. That’s just a big sacrifice I’ll be asking from him. So I don’t know what’s going to happen in that part of my life but one thing is for sure, whatever we decide on, I am secure in our relationship and I know we can get through it.

If we were having coffee, I would want to share with you that I feel like I am growing. It’s amazing how I look back and see how much different I handle things. I love that I am growing up and seeing that all the difficulties that I went through is teaching me to be the best possible version of me! This is one major life realization I am having this year. I love the growth and transformation that a person can go through in their lives. I feel like I am changing for the best…I hope I really am!! 🙂

If we were having coffee, I’ll probably show you this video. Big Bang is life. VIP for life.

My absolutely favorite Korean band. I love them to death. I’ll can waste my time (and money) on them all the time.

I hope you had a great week and I would love to read about it. Post a comment or whatever. Let’s be real friends.

I had fun guys, see you next week!

  1. I see that you have a lot going on and with Mike’s and your family’s support, all will be good and sail smooth.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you –

    1. I also retired my iPhone 4 recently and my new one is super cool! 🙂
    2. We had Diwali yesterday in India and it is a big Festival of Lights. I love this time of the year.
    3. An assignment abroad is a great learning. My husband VT is in Hong Kong currently and I am alone in India. I got to visit him and it was such a great experience. May be Mike can try that. Also, remember that distance makes hearts grow fonder 🙂

Sorry if the advise was unwanted but felt like opening up 🙂
When you get time, read my Hong Kong Travel tales – http://happinessandfood.com/tag/hongkongtales/

    1. Thank you so much Parul for reading my post!! 🙂 It really does make me smile!!

I love that we have (almost) two things in common. And thank you for your advice. I’ll be honest, it worries me a lot to be away from him. Especially since I think our relationship is going somewhere but we have to “put it on hold” for life itself. I’ll surely remember this line- distance makes hearts grow fonder. It puts my heart at ease.

ps. I saw online some pics of Diwali, it was amazing and very beautiful! 🙂
